Double the takings at the Heineken Big Top

Double the takings at the Heineken Big Top

Back to blog

At the Heineken Big Top during the Galway International Arts Festival, Skippio's fast-track collection lane took around twice the revenue of the lane beside it, with queue times about ten times faster.

The setup

This was the first time Skippio ran at the Big Top. We operated one fast-track collection lane next to the venue's standard bar lanes. Festival-goers ordered on their phones and collected from the Skippio lane instead of queueing.

Faster speed of service than the industry average

“As the retailer we found that the Skippio lane was able to take approximately double the turnover of the lane beside it. Daniel and his team were great to work with and we intend to give them a larger space next year, as we have no doubt it will increase the spend per head of customers using their product.”

What changed

  • More revenue per lane. Faster turnaround and fewer people abandoning the queue meant the Skippio lane took about double the turnover.
  • A better night out. Festival-goers spent their time enjoying the gig instead of waiting at the bar.
  • Smoother operations. Orders came in through Skippio's order management, cutting the errors that come with manual entry.
  • New insights. Spending and customer data that couldn't be tracked before. The average Skippio customer was 32.1 years old.

What's next

After the results, the Big Top plans to double the space for Skippio collection at the next festival.
